Responsibilities
- Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses
- Counsel associates to resolve or prevent conflicts
- Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Our growing firm is seeking a well-qualified senior attorney who can handle a heavy caseload, work independently, and zealously represent our clients both in and out of court. To be considered, you should have solid trial experience and be willing to mentor our newer associates. Qualifications
- 7 – 10 years of experience as a litigation attorney for business, construction, or real estate litigation.
- At least 10 jury trials as first chair or leading attorney
- Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
- Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
